The UK's number one site for for unusual gifts
You might not find many recipes in one of Nigella's books containing Toasted Scorpions, but that's probably because they're better on their own.
We won't beat around the bush, they're probably not to everyone's taste, they are an unusual snack and probably more a novelty item than something you might buy on a regular basis and incorporate into your daily diet. They are however ideal for I'm A Celebrity themed parties or an unusual gift.
Approx 5 per tube.

I'm not particularly fussed about the quality of the product as it was meant to be a novelty Christmas present, however, if your looking for this to be an out of the ordinary present or a daring culinary experience, I can say that you can glean the same ordeal by chewing the smouldering remains of a walnut shell. It apparently comes salted, but I beg to differ. I would argue that the picture is somewhat misleading as they do look perfectly toasted, whilst the scorpions I received was a kind of dark chocolate brown most commonly associated with: 'Oh lord, I forgot I was grilling that'. Overall, it should be interesting but isn't, so give it a miss.
And one more thing, if you do buy it, be aware that the detoxified stingers are still sharp.
